PCAP Redactor

PCAP Redactor helps prepare customer-safe packet captures. It runs in the browser, lists searchable IPs, call legs, and SIP Call-IDs found in the capture, then builds a redacted copy from the items the user selects.

What It Redacts

• Clickable IPv4 and IPv6 packet endpoints found in the capture.
• Clickable source-to-destination call legs found in the capture.
• Matching SIP text values inside UDP payloads using same-length masking.
• SIP dialogs that match a selected Call-ID.

When To Use It

Use it before sending a capture to a customer, vendor, or escalation partner when internal IPs, call legs, or dialog identifiers should not be exposed.

Important Limits

• Always review the redacted copy before sending it.
• Custom application payloads may contain sensitive values that are not SIP or endpoint fields.
• The tool preserves packet structure and masks same-length SIP text; it is not a legal or compliance guarantee.
